๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ฟ Rwina with Water- Basic Healthy recipe

Rwina is the flour that is basically made of roasted whole wheat. So many other roasted ingredients can be added to the whole wheat to make the flour richer. I already shared a recipe of Rwina flour made of roasted whole wheat, chickpea and lentils (please check recipe here https://www.myexcellentdegustations.com/%f0%9f%87%a9%f0%9f%87%bf-whole-wheat-chickpea-and-lentil-flour-rwina/).
Algerians make Rwina flour ahead of time and keep it in the pantry for future use. Itโ€™s is a very rich and healthy flour that can be used in so many recipes. I am sharing today a very basic recipe. This dish can be served for breakfast or any time of the day.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup boiled water
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar or more if you like
  • 1 tsp olive oil or more if you like
  • 1 cup Rwina flour (or more to your liking). Please see Rwina recipe link above
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Pour the boiled water in a bowl.

  2. Add sugar to your liking ( more or less). Mix to dissolve the sugar.

  3. Add Rwina flour, please see recipe link for Rwina above. If your Rwina flour is not salted, then add a pinch of salt to your taste.

  4. Mix everything together with a spatula or a spoon. You can add more or less Rwina flour. Some people like it runny and others donโ€™t.

  5. Add olive oil(more or less to your liking). Mix well.

  6. Enjoy.

Recipe Notes

  • You can do this recipe differently. Just put the amount of Rwina flour that you want to use in a bowl, then add the rest of the ingredients. Make sure that you add boiled water a little at the time until you get the right consistency( to your liking).
  • I didnโ€™t add salt in my recipe because my Rwina flour is already salted, but if you feel the need to add more salt, you can do it.
  • Some people make this recipe without adding olive oil, itโ€™s up to you.
