- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 egg
Instructions
-
In a bowl of a stand mixer, cream together butter, the 2 sugars and vanilla.
-
Add in the egg and salt, then mix well.
-
Add the sifted flour and baking soda, then mix with a wooden spoon until just incorporated.
-
Toss in the chocolate chips and mix just to combine.
-
Put the sticky dough in a plastic wrap and place it in the freezer for about 1 hour or just refrigerate for more time.
-
Use an ice cream scoop or just form with hands walnut size balls. If it’s too sticky, put hands from time to time in water.
-
Place the balls in a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make sure to leave a distance between the balls as they will spread during baking.
-
Gently flatten the balls with fingers.
-
Bake in a 375°F preheated oven for about 12 to 15 minutes or until golden.
-
Let cool, then enjoy.
